Maggie Grace, born Margaret Grace Denig on the 21st of September of 1983 in Worthington, Ohio is an American actress. She is famous for her roles as Shannon Rutherford and Kim Mills respectively in ABC's Lost television show. Maggie Grace was born in Worthington from Ohio dropped out of high school and moved in Los Angeles after her divorced parents divorced. The year 2001 was a difficult one for her, but despite financial struggles she managed get her first significant part in the web-based video series Rachel's Room playing the main character. The actress was able to secure an Young Artist Award nomination in 2002, for her role as the 15 year old murder victim Martha Moxley in the television movie Murder in Greenwich. Grace Rutherford was the main actor in Lost in its two initial seasons. In 2004, she was awarded the Screen Actors Guild Award with all the cast. Grace left the television series in 2005 to pursue a more significant role in film, appearing in the film Taken alongside Tom Welling as Kim Mills in Taken. In 2007, she was on screen in Suburban Girl The Jane Austen Book Club and also, as the Liam Neeson character Kim Mills as Kim Mills for Taken. She reprised her role as Kim Mills in Taken 2 (2012) and Taken 3 (2014).She played the lead role Alice on Malice in Wonderland a modern version of Lewis Carroll's classic novel Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Grace was back on the Lost series for the last two episodes playing Shannon. Grace appeared on Californication's 6th season, which aired from 2013 until 2014. She plays Faith, who is a fan and muse of the actors. Hank Moody as played by David Duchovny falls in love with her. She is part of Gyllenhaal's family and is the elder sister of Jake Gyllenhaal. The career of her mother began when she was a young teenager as she was cast in minor roles in several films from her father. In addition, she was a part of her brother on the 2001 popular film Donnie Darko. She also appeared as a character in Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind. Also, she appeared on Mona Lisa Smile (2003). Gyllenhaal received nominations for an Golden Globe Award in both the action drama Sherrybaby (2005) and in the romantic comedy Secretary (2002). Both films were critically acclaimed. She appeared in a number of films that were commercially successful, including World Trade Center. However, it was her role as Rachel Dawes that brought her more attention with The Dark Knight (2008). In the wake of her performance that was a hit as a mother who is not married in Crazy Heart (2009), she earned the Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress. She subsequently starred in the comedies and dramas: Nanny McPhee as well as the Big Bang (2010) Hysteria (2011) and Won't Back Down (2012).
