Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson, an artist's daughter, born in Mexico was born into an adored family of musicians. She spent most of her childhood listening to music from the past and boleros of the past, ranchero traditional or romantic songs and older classical songs. Ana has a passion for the opera and tango genres as well as any form of dramatic performance. At age 16 she started singing and studying the piano with her mom. Flavio, a Mexican famous tenor, started giving her a more intensive vocal instruction. Her musical education continued at the School of Music of the University of Guadalajara, and afterward in the School of Sacred Music in Toluca, Mexico. While a young student and professional, she sang with many chamber groups and opera choruses in Guadalajara as well as Mexico City. She was a member of the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus in the United States before moving to southern California. She sings with Ensemble XXI Redlands, and is a performer of Latin American traditional music solo for many private functions. Her love and passion in music, art and performing keeps her involved with many local organizations as a performer and teacher. Ana was also a member of both the Community Chorus of Redlands and Inland Master Chorale. She is presently a professor of the Performance Loft. Ana is grateful to the Inland Master Chorale for the permission to sing classic Latin American song.
