Rosalia
Rosalia Vila, also known as Rosalia Rosaly, is a Spanish singer of flamenco. Since she was a teenager, she has been at the edges of traditional and popular music. In addition, she is a pioneer in the realms of hip-hop, soul and trap. Her voice has been described by no less a talent than flamenco guitarist Pepe Habichuela as sharp and sweet however with a bit of bite similar to the old ones. Following her debut album Los Angeles garnered attention from the U.S. public and earned the singer the Latin Grammy nomination for Best New Artist the follow-up album for 2018 El Mal Querer was a major critical and commercial breakthrough topping Billboard's Latin Pop Albums chart and eventually receiving a Grammy. La Fama was released by the Weeknd in 2021. The third album by Motomami collaborated on songwriting with a variety of producers and artists including Cory Henry and James Blake. It was released on March 20, 2022, following the performance of Chicken Teriyaki by Saturday Night Live. Rosalia was first Spanish artist to perform as a solo performer on the show. Motomami was the only woman in history to be the recipient of the Latin Album of the Year two times, as well as three Latin Grammy Awards.
