Madhuri Dixit

Madhuri dixit is a popular Indian actress who is best famous for her role in Beta Saajan and Hum Aapke Hain Koun. In the late 80s, she began her acting career. She became famous for her role as Tezaab, in which she starred alongside an established actor Anil Kapooor. In the next film, Dil, Aamir Khan appeared alongside her. As a young girl growing up in the middle class of Mumbai, she started to dance. When she was a teen, she began acting and suffered for several years due to the fact that her films at first were unsuccessful. She found fame and became one of the top film actresses. After her wedding, she took a brief break from her acting career before returning. Recently, she had an integral character in the film Gulaab Gang which was about the challenges faced by women in India. Dixit has been nominated 15 times to win Filmfare Awards. She won eight of the awards. Padma Shri - the fourth most prestigious civilian award of India is awarded to Dixit. She is also recognized for her charity work.
